Commanding the Screen Watch Party

November 3 @ 2:30 pm 5:00 pm

Still from an episode of The West Wing.

Celebrate the 25th anniversary of The West Wing with a special screening of the two-part season four premiere, “20 Hours in America.”

In these episodes, President Josiah Bartlet (Martin Sheen) deals with multiple crises – including a cover-up of the assassination of a foreign dignitary – while Josh Lyman (Bradley Whitford), Toby Ziegler (Richard Schiff), and Donna Moss (Janel Moloney) attempt to return to the White House after they are accidentally left behind in Indiana.

This screening is presented by the Arkansas Cinema Society in partnership with the Clinton Presidential Center as part of its temporary exhibit Commanding the Screen: The American Presidency in Film and Television, which examines the cinematic portrayal of fictional and non-fictional commanders-in-chief as symbols of the nation’s spirit, values, and historical destiny.

Running Time: 1 hour, 29 minutes (Part I); 49 minutes (Part II)
Rating: TV-14
