AMFA’s artist-in-residence program opens with Chakaia Booker, a contemporary American artist whose work is currently on view in Chakaia Booker: Intentional Risks, the inaugural exhibition of the Robyn and John Horn Gallery.
Booker, who is internationally recognized for her monumental, abstract sculptures, has also been creating abstract chine collé prints for over a decade at the EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York City, the oldest and longest-running community print shop in the United States.
Since 2015, Booker has collaborated with Master Printer Justin Sanz, and during this Artist Talk, they will discuss Booker’s artistic process and how her body of work has evolved throughout their ongoing collaboration.
Live open captioning will be available during this event.
