Creative Saturdays

January 27 @ 10:00 am 1:00 pm

Photo of a mother, grandmother, and young girl sitting at a table doing arts and crafts with other families in the background.

Inspired by our exhibition Path to Abstraction: Picasso, Braque, and Cubism’s Impact on Modern Art, this Creative Saturdays’ make-and-take activity invites guests to create Cubist portraits with oil pastels in the Windgate Art School.

Expand this special experience by exploring what the rest of the Museum has to offer you:

  • Grab a family-friendly Treasure Map and start an adventure that ends with a special prize.
  • Enjoy a coffee or tea and browse the books in the Cultural Living Room.
  • Experience an interactive puppet show with Flurffy + Friends
  • Explore the galleries and ask our docents questions about the art on view.
  • Relax over brunch with incredible views and a locally inspired menu at Park Grill.

Path to Abstraction: Picasso, Braque, and Cubism’s Impact on Modern Art is organized by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.

Creative Saturdays and The Treasure Map are supported by the Alice L. Walton Foundation.

Flurffy + Friends is supported by the Alice L. Walton Foundation.

The Windgate Art School is generously supported by the Windgate Foundation with additional support from Sherry Worthen in memory of George Worthen.
