American drummer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Brian Blade’s contributions to music span over 30 years and disparate genres. Blade’s nuanced and lyrical approach to percussion especially has led to the development of a unique musical language that make him a sought-after collaborator.
In addition to leading his own ensembles, including Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band, his playing associations range from giants like Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea to Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, and Norah Jones. He has also been a member of the Little Rock-based No Tears Project Ensemble.
Blade has appeared on more than 150 albums and is a multiple GRAMMY-winner and nominee.
